Popcorn Fundraiser 2008 Boy Scout Troop 162

As in the past, Boy Scout Troop 162 has sold popcorn to fundraise money. As of last year all the profits made by the scout selling popcorn goes into the “Scout Bucks” account just for your scout.  A “Scout Bucks” account is money in a special part of the Boy Scout Treasury that your son earns from bottle redemption and selling popcorn. These funds can be used for events that the Boy Scouts do, any equipment your scout may need for boy scouting, or even to help pay for Boy Scout camp. The popcorn earns a profit of 33% for the total amount sold.  To find out how much is your scout's Scout Buck account-go into the password protected area of bottle redemption schedule and it is in there.

**Of that 33%, your scout will have all 33% go into his Scout Buck account.

September 11-start selling

November 13- popcorn sales sheets were due-order has been placed

December 6-popcorn comes in.  We will let you know when you can pick up your popcorn when I receive a firm date on when pick up is.

December 13-money due for popcorn.  ***Make out one check payable to Columbia Boy Scout Troop 162. If a check is collected, have it made out to the parent.  Add all the checks and cash together and have your parent/guardian write one check.

The website for the popcorn is: www.trails-end.com

The council website is www.ctrivers.org   There are many incentives to sell lots of popcorn-check it out. Also the forms to submit if your scout "fills the sheet", sells $1500 or more is at this website.
